A duty belt loaded with radio, cuffs, light and spare magazine pulls down and rolls outward over a shift. That is the sag and the lower-back ache officers describe at hour eight. A two-layer belt system fixes it mechanically: an under belt through the trouser loops, and the outer duty belt locking to it along its whole length instead of being held by four or five keepers.
DESCRIPTION
The Safe Life Defense Under Belt is part of Safe Life Defense’s dual layer belt system. The Under Belt is worn through your belt loops like a typical belt and can be worn on its own. The Under Belt belt interlocks with the Safe Life Defense outer belt to eliminate sagging, curling and belt keepers.
An Under Belt is included with the Classic, Tactical, Basketweave, and Plain Leather belts.

What it interlocks with
The under belt is included with the Classic, Tactical, Basketweave and Plain Leather outer belts, so order it separately only if you are replacing one or running a second set. Check your outer belt’s width before ordering — a mismatched pair will not lock and you are back to keepers.
Fitting it
Size to the waist you actually wear on duty, over the base layer, not your trouser size. Thread it like an ordinary belt, then set the outer belt so the load sits at the hips rather than the waist. Riding too high is the most common setup error and it puts the weight straight into the lumbar spine.
Care
Wipe it down; do not machine wash. Inspect the hook-and-loop surface when you clean it, since a belt that no longer holds tension defeats the whole system.
