UV Sterilizers

UV sterilisation equipment uses ultraviolet-C light to reduce surface and air contamination in shared and high-traffic spaces.
Where it is genuinely useful. Shared equipment and surfaces that are handled constantly and cleaned rarely — guard stations across shift changes, shared radios and keyboards, vehicle interiors on rotation, and common-area touchpoints. For security operations running continuous shift coverage, shared equipment is a real transmission path and one that ordinary cleaning schedules tend to miss.
Understand the limits. UV-C works on exposed surfaces within line of sight for an adequate dwell time. It does not reach shadowed areas, it does not penetrate dirt or grease, and it does not replace cleaning — it complements it. A surface that is visibly soiled needs wiping first; UV is for what remains after.
Safety is not optional. UV-C damages skin and eyes. Equipment intended for unoccupied-room use must only run in unoccupied rooms, and anything used around people needs proper shielding. Read the operating requirements before first use and make sure everyone on shift understands them.
Buying sensibly. Check the wavelength is genuine UV-C, check the stated coverage area against your actual space, and check lamp life and replacement cost — output falls off well before a lamp stops lighting, so an old lamp gives false confidence.
