Where a UV wand fits, and where it does not
A handheld UVC sanitizer is a practical tool for surfaces you cannot wipe down with liquid: keyboards, radio handsets, shared vehicle controls, body-worn camera mounts and phone screens between shifts. It is not a replacement for cleaning. UVC works on what the light actually reaches, so visible dirt has to come off first.
Easily disinfect and sterilize surfaces at home and away with this portable UV Sanitizer. With a wave of the hand held wand sterilze keyboards, countertops, public bathrooms and more. Or you can sanitize items longer by placing them under the UV Gun cradle. The connected box fits cell phones, electronics, keys, pacifiers – anything that you can carry in one hand fits inside. Set the timer for sterilizing and walk away.  The UVC light works on most surface types including soft items such as pillows, linens, baby toys and more to minimize the spread of germs.

UV-C LIGHT TECHNOLOGY
- Utilizing short ultra-violet light wavelengths, proven in hospitals to cleanse and disinfect all surfaces of harmful germs. The UV Gun is the ultimate tool to keep your family safe from the flu and infections.
- Sanitizing with UV-C light has been a normal practice since the mid-20th century. In fact, the 1903 Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to Niels Finsen for using UV light to fight tuberculosis.
How to use it so it does something
Hold the wand a few inches from the surface and move slowly. Dwell time is what matters: the shot mode is for a quick pass, and the two- and five-minute modes are for leaving items in the cradle. Shadowed areas — the sides of keys, the gap under a keycap — receive far less light than the flat surface facing the lamp, so turn objects over and repeat.
Safety
UVC light damages eyes and skin. Do not look at the lamp, do not point it at people or pets, and use the cradle for unattended cycles. Keep it away from children. The lamp degrades with use; if output drops, the device still lights up but no longer does the job, so follow the manufacturer’s replacement interval rather than assuming it works forever.
For shift work and shared vehicles
Our own officers rotate through shared radios and vehicle keys. A cradle at the dispatch desk, used for two minutes between handovers, is a practical routine — paired with ordinary wipes for anything visibly soiled.
