A covert camera built into a working mouse
This is a LawMate PV-MU10: a functioning wireless mouse with a 5MP camera, motion-triggered recording and about seven days of standby. It is sold to investigators, corporate asset-protection teams and law enforcement for indoor placements where a visible camera would change behaviour.
Before buying, understand where covert cameras are lawful. Recording in a place where a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy — a bathroom, a changing area, a bedroom — is a crime. Workplace placement generally requires a legitimate purpose and, in many cases, notice or policy.
Who would ever suspect this ordinary device is also a hidden camera!

Getting usable footage
Place it where the lens has a clear line to the area you care about and normal light reaches the subject’s face; a 720p sensor is unforgiving in a dim room. Motion triggering saves storage but misses slow entries, so for a short, high-stakes window continuous recording on a fresh card is the safer choice. Supports cards up to 16 GB, and the overwrite function will consume your evidence if you leave it running after the event.
If it is going to be evidence
Pull the card, copy the files, and stop using the device. Work from a copy, keep the original untouched, and write down when and where it was placed and who handled it. Footage with no chain of custody is easy to challenge. Our forensic examiners can authenticate, enhance and produce video properly if the matter is headed anywhere formal.
