A pole camera is for looking where you cannot climb
Inspecting a high drop ceiling, an overhead compartment, a vehicle undercarriage, the far side of a wall or the top of a cabinet normally means a ladder, a mirror and a bad angle. A telescoping camera on an 8-inch monitor turns that into a two-minute check that one person can do safely.
In countermeasures work it earns its place during the physical search — the half of a sweep that finds devices no RF detector will see, because they are not transmitting while you are standing there.
Applications, Inspecting high drop ceilings, searching over-head compartments, vehicle undercarriages, viewing around corners, over tall or immovable objects, viewing difficult to reach areas.

Where it gets used
Technical surveillance sweeps (ceiling voids, ducts, above light fittings), facility and life-safety inspections, vehicle checks at gates and in transport work, and evidence searches where reaching in by hand would disturb the scene. The motorized tilt head matters more than resolution here: a fixed head shows you what is directly ahead, and devices are rarely directly ahead.
Practical notes
It is ready out of the case with no external cables and travels in a light portable case, which is the difference between a tool that gets carried to every job and one that stays in the office. Charge it the night before — pole cameras are always used at the end of a search, when the battery has been sitting on standby for hours. Clean and dry the head before it goes back in the case; ceiling voids are dusty and lenses smear.
Equipment finds what a trained search finds. If you suspect an actual intrusion rather than testing your own gear, a professional sweep combines this kind of physical search with RF work, junction detection and a written report you can act on.
