Pro-Cleaner Professional Gear Detergent – Team 5 Gallon

Pro-Cleaner is Safe Life Defense’s professional gear detergent. It is a laundry detergent made for the technical fabrics in body armor carriers, uniforms, gloves and tactical gear. It is formulated to clean and brighten those fabrics and control odor without the harsh chemicals that wear fibers down over time.

This listing is the 5 gallon size, sold singly. At the manufacturer’s dose of 2 to 4 oz per wash, one 5 gallon container covers about 160 to 320 loads.

What it is for

• Body armor carriers, with every ballistic panel and plate taken out first
• Gloves, pouches and other fabric tactical gear
• Uniforms and work apparel
• Turnout gear, racing suits and flight suits (the manufacturer states it is SFI tested for use on Nomex)

How to use it

Manufacturer’s directions: use 2 to 4 oz per load in a warm-water machine wash, then hang to dry. Close zippers and fasten loose straps and hook-and-loop before washing so nothing snags. For gear worn hard every day, a wash about once a week keeps sweat and odor from building up in the fabric.

Before you wash an armor carrier

Take all soft armor panels and hard plates out of the carrier first. Pro-Cleaner is for the carrier fabric, not the ballistic panels: panels should not go in a washing machine or be soaked. Always follow the care label on your armor. For odor on the panels themselves, use Refresher, which is sprayed on and wiped dry.

Why the 5 gallon container

At 2 to 4 oz a wash, 5 gallons covers about 160 to 320 washes. It is built for agencies, security companies and training academies that launder carriers and uniforms for a whole team, and for decanting into smaller bottles.
