Pro-Cleaner Professional Gear Detergent – Standard 16oz (case of 6 min.)

Pro-Cleaner is Safe Life Defense’s professional gear detergent. It is a laundry detergent made for the technical fabrics in body armor carriers, uniforms, gloves and tactical gear. It is formulated to clean and brighten those fabrics and control odor without the harsh chemicals that wear fibers down over time.

This listing is the 16 oz size, sold in cases of 6. At the manufacturer’s dose of 2 to 4 oz per wash, one 16 oz container covers about 4 to 8 loads.

How to use it

Manufacturer’s directions: use 2 to 4 oz per load in a warm-water machine wash, then hang to dry. Close zippers and fasten loose straps and hook-and-loop before washing so nothing snags. For gear worn hard every day, a wash about once a week keeps sweat and odor from building up in the fabric.

Before you wash an armor carrier

Take all soft armor panels and hard plates out of the carrier first. Pro-Cleaner is for the carrier fabric, not the ballistic panels: panels should not go in a washing machine or be soaked. Always follow the care label on your armor. For odor on the panels themselves, use Refresher, which is sprayed on and wiped dry.

Why the 16 oz case

At one wash a week, a 16 oz bottle lasts one person about one to two months. The case of 6 suits a small shift or a household with several sets of gear, with a bottle for each locker or laundry room.
