Who wears this vest
The Hyper Concealable Hyperline is built for people who have to wear armor under a shirt for a full shift and cannot look like they are wearing it: plain-clothes officers, executive protection details, investigators conducting surveillance, and process servers. At 0.19 inches, the panel is thin enough to disappear under a dress shirt, which is the difference between armor that gets worn every day and armor that stays in the trunk.
It is soft armor. That means it is rated for handgun threats, edged weapons and blunt strikes, not for rifle rounds. If your threat assessment includes .223 or 7.62, you want flexible rifle armor or hard plates instead, in place of this vest. The Hyper Concealable™ carrier has no plate pockets, and Safe Life Defense does not recommend it for IIIA+ or FRAS® armor.

Getting the size right
Soft armor only protects what it covers, and a panel that rides too high or gapes at the side leaves gaps exactly where you do not want them. Measure your chest at the fullest point and your waist over the clothing you will wear underneath, and order to the manufacturer’s chart rather than your shirt size. The vest should sit roughly two finger widths below the collarbone, with the bottom edge at the navel so it does not dig in when you sit or drive.
Care and service life
Never machine wash or tumble dry the ballistic panels. Wipe them with a damp cloth and let them air dry flat; the carrier itself can be washed separately per the label. Store the vest flat or on a wide hanger, not folded over a chair, because permanent creases in soft armor are a real concern over years of use. Safe Life Defense warrants its ballistic panels and plates for five years.
Before you order
Federal law prohibits anyone convicted of a violent felony from possessing body armor (18 U.S.C. § 931), and some employers require that duty armor be issued rather than personally owned. If you are buying for a team, ask us about fit sessions and replacement scheduling so your officers are not all due for new panels in the same quarter.
