A bag that keeps armor in shape
Armor gets ruined between shifts more often than during them. A vest folded into a duffel, left in a hot trunk, or stuffed behind a seat develops creases in the ballistic panel — and creases are a real problem in soft armor, not a cosmetic one. A dedicated bag with foam padding and flat compartments exists to prevent that.

How to store armor between shifts
Lay the panels flat rather than folding them, keep the carrier separate if it is damp with sweat, and store the bag indoors. Weeks in a vehicle at Arizona summer temperatures is the fastest way to shorten a panel’s useful life. Air the carrier out before it goes back in the bag.
