Who buys a mag pouch from a security firm
Most of our gear customers are working officers and armed licensees who need kit that survives a full shift rather than a range day. A magazine pouch is a small thing that fails in a specific way: retention loosens, the magazine rattles at every step, and the officer stops carrying the spare. Dual locking tabs and a rigid body are what keep that from happening.

Where to mount it
Carry the spare on the support side, at or slightly forward of the hip, so the reload hand reaches it without crossing the body. Set the pouch so the magazine floor plate sits just below the belt line — high enough to grip, low enough that a jacket still closes over it. If you run a plate carrier, mount it on the cummerbund rather than the front panel, where it will not interfere with a rifle stock.
Check it in training, not on post
Retention devices are worth testing under load. Run the reload from the pouch during qualification, with gloves if you work nights, and confirm the tabs still hold after a few hundred draws. Anything that has loosened enough to let the magazine move on its own should be replaced before it is carried again.
