Senior Security Officer – Veterans Preferred

We are building our senior officer team around people who have already served, and this position is our top tier. Veterans are strongly preferred; experienced non-veteran officers are welcome to apply.

Senior officers are the officers clients see first and the ones other officers look to on post. This tier gets first choice of assignments and shifts, lead-officer duties on multi-officer sites, and the first call for specialty work.

This is a roster position. We are building a bench of officers for client posts across Arizona, and work comes in as client contracts come in. Some officers work full-time weeks, others pick up part-time or single shifts. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours; when we call, we tell you honestly what is available. W-2 employee, never a 1099 contractor, whether you work one shift or forty hours a week.

What you’ll do

• Stand post at commercial, construction, residential and event sites across Arizona
• Lead shifts on multi-officer posts: briefings, post orders, relief and hand-offs
• Patrol, observe and report; write clear, accurate incident reports the same shift
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for the client and for responding agencies
• De-escalate first; follow post orders, company policy and Arizona law on use of force
• Coach newer officers and help keep every post to our standard

What you need

• U.S. military veteran (any branch) with an honorable or general discharge strongly preferred (DD-214 at hire), or equivalent senior security or leadership experience
• Arizona DPS security guard card (armed preferred), or able to get one before your first shift
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to stand, walk and patrol for a full shift, in Arizona heat
• Clear written and spoken English; comfortable writing reports

Clean background and honesty

• A clean background is required. We check every applicant before the first shift.
• No felony convictions, and nothing that would disqualify you from an Arizona DPS guard card: no misdemeanor for violence, weapons misconduct, dishonesty or fraud, theft, domestic violence, drugs or sexual misconduct in the last five years (A.R.S. 32-2622). Armed posts: no domestic-violence conviction, ever.
• Pass our background check and a drug screen, and keep a clean record while you work with us.
• Be honest. Tell us the truth on your application and in your interview. A false or incomplete answer ends your application, and dishonesty on the job ends your employment.

• Military police, security forces, combat arms or NCO leadership experience
• CPR / first aid / Stop the Bleed
• Armed guard card and current firearms qualification
