Off-Duty Law Enforcement Officer – Security Details

Active, commissioned Arizona peace officers can pick up off-duty security details with us: construction and traffic-adjacent sites, events, retail and properties that want a sworn officer on site.

Under A.R.S. 32-2621, regularly commissioned peace officers do not need a separate guard card. You work within your agency's off-duty rules at all times.

Details come in as client contracts come in, so shifts vary. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours; when we call, we tell you honestly what is available. W-2 employee, never a 1099 contractor, whether you work one shift or forty hours a week.

What you’ll do

• Off-duty security details at client sites across Arizona, on days that fit your schedule
• Deter, observe and report; act under your agency's off-duty policy
• Write clear, accurate shift and incident reports for the client
• Coordinate with our site lead and the client contact

What you need

• Currently commissioned Arizona peace officer (AZPOST certified) in good standing with your agency
• Written approval from your agency for secondary or off-duty employment, and you follow its off-duty rules. Some agencies, such as Phoenix PD, arrange off-duty work only through their own off-duty detail; we work within your agency's process
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Clean background and honesty

• In good standing with your agency, with no open internal investigation for dishonesty or misconduct.
• Pass our background check and a drug screen, and keep a clean record while you work with us.
• Be honest. Tell us the truth on your application and in your interview. A false or incomplete answer ends your application, and dishonesty on the job ends your employment.
