This site should work for everyone.

Our commitment

We want anyone to be able to read what we do, ask us for help and buy equipment from us, regardless of how they use the web. That includes people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or browser settings that change contrast, spacing or text size.

We measure this site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium. The US Department of Justice has published guidance on web accessibility and the ADA that explains why this matters for businesses serving the public.

We state a target rather than a certification. Accessibility is a moving state on a site that publishes regularly, and claiming a permanent pass would be inaccurate.

What we have done

• Alternative text on images. A site-wide audit of 4,919 uploaded images and 594 sampled in-page images found no missing alt text. New images are checked as they are added.
• Keyboard navigation. Menus, forms, the enquiry widget and interactive tools can be operated without a mouse, and focus is visible as you move through a page.
• Heading structure. Every page uses a single main heading with a logical hierarchy beneath it, so screen-reader users can navigate by heading rather than reading linearly. We audit for duplicate and missing headings and fix them at source.
• Contrast and colour. Body text, headings and interface elements are checked against AA contrast ratios on our dark theme. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
• Responsive and zoomable. Pages reflow down to small phone widths and remain usable when text is enlarged, without horizontal scrolling or clipped content.
• Descriptive links. Link text describes its destination rather than relying on “click here”, which matters when a screen reader lists links out of context.
• Motion. Animated elements respect the reduced-motion preference set in your operating system.
• Readable documents. Where we publish a report or guide, we aim to provide it as a web page rather than only as a PDF.

Known limitations

We would rather list these than imply the site is perfect.

• Interactive tools. Our calculators and self-assessment tools — the guard cost estimator, breach cost calculator, ransomware scorecard and TSCM self-audit — are JavaScript-driven. Each has a written explanation alongside it, but the interactive portion has not yet been fully audited against AA with a screen reader.
• Third-party components. The store checkout, payment fields and the chat widget are supplied by third parties. We can configure them but we do not control their underlying accessibility. If one of these blocks you, contact us and we will complete the transaction with you directly.
• Older articles. The site holds several hundred articles published over time. Structure and alt text have been audited site-wide, but older pieces may still contain tables or layouts that are harder to follow with assistive technology than our newer pages.
• Embedded media. Video embedded from third-party platforms depends on that platform’s caption support. Where we publish video ourselves we aim to include captions.

If something blocks you

Tell us, and we will fix it or find another way to serve you in the meantime. You do not need to identify the technical cause — describing what you were trying to do and what happened is enough.

Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using if you know it. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to tell you either when it is fixed or what the realistic timeline is.

An alternative route is always available. Anything you can do on this site — request a quote, ask about a service, place an order, ask about a delivery — you can also do by phone or email. If a part of the site is not working for you, that is our problem to solve, not a reason for you to go without.

How we keep this current

Accessibility checks run as part of our own site audits rather than as a one-off exercise: heading structure, alt text coverage, contrast, keyboard operation and mobile reflow are re-measured when we publish or restructure pages, and defects are fixed at source rather than patched page by page. This statement is reviewed when the site changes materially, and the date above reflects the last review.

Accessibility overlaps with things we care about elsewhere. Clear headings and descriptive links help screen-reader users and also help anyone skim-reading on a phone. Pages that work without JavaScript are more robust for everyone. We treat it as build quality rather than as a compliance box.
