What this site stores on your device.
The cookies and similar technologies honeybadgersolution.com actually uses, who receives the data, and how to turn them off. Written from an audit of what the site loads, not from a template.

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between page loads — what is in your basket, whether you are signed in, or that you have visited before. Similar technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels do comparable jobs. This page covers all of them.
The list below reflects an audit of what this site actually loads. It is not a generic template, and we update it when the site changes.
1. Strictly necessary
These make the site function. Without them the store cannot work.
- WooCommerce cart and session cookies — remember what you put in your basket and keep your checkout session together as you move between pages.
- WordPress session and security cookies — set only if you log in to an account on the site.
- Page caching — our caching layer may set a marker so that logged-in users and people with a full basket are served uncached pages.
These cannot be switched off through a preference on the site, because turning them off would break checkout. You can still block them in your browser, but the store will not function correctly afterwards.
2. Order attribution
Our store sets a group of cookies beginning sbjs_ — seven of them, from the Sourcebuster library bundled with WooCommerce. They record how a visit arrived: the referring site, search or campaign, and whether it is a first or returning visit. When an order is placed, that context is attached to the order so we can tell which channels actually produce sales.
These are first-party cookies. The data stays with us and our order records; it is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through a Google tag, to understand which pages are read, how people move through the site and where they leave. It sets cookies in the _ga family, typically holding a randomly generated identifier rather than anything that names you.
We use this in aggregate — which guides are read, which service pages convert, whether a change improved things. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals, and we do not upload customer lists to it.
4. Advertising and conversion measurement
The site loads Google Ads tags and contacts Google’s ad-serving domain. These measure whether an advertisement led to an enquiry or an order, and they can support remarketing — showing our advertisements to people who have previously visited. Google may set or read its own cookies in this process.
How Google uses data from sites that embed its services is described in Google’s own policy for partner sites. Under California law, some advertising cookie activity may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising — the California Attorney General explains those rights under the CCPA.
5. Tag management
Google Tag Manager is used to load and manage the tags above. It is a container rather than a tracker in its own right, but it is how the analytics and advertising tags reach the page, so it is listed here for completeness.
6. Fonts and embedded content
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests files from Google’s font servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Our enquiry and chat widget is supplied by a third party and may set its own cookies once you interact with it. Where we embed video or maps from another platform, that platform’s own cookie practices apply to the embed.
7. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use cookies to identify you by name, and we do not attempt to de-anonymise analytics data.
- We do not place tracking pixels inside case correspondence or investigative deliverables.
- We do not require you to accept optional cookies in order to read the site.
8. How to control cookies
This site does not currently present a cookie consent banner, so the controls available to you are your own. All of these work:
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, block third-party cookies specifically, or clear everything on exit. This is the most complete control available to you.
- Google Analytics opt-out. Google publishes a browser add-on that prevents Analytics from collecting data on any site.
- Google ad settings. You can turn off ad personalisation in your Google account, which limits remarketing across sites that use Google advertising.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, it communicates an opt-out of sale or sharing to sites that honour it.
- Do Not Track. Browser DNT signals are not consistently honoured across the industry, and we do not claim to act on them.
Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not affect your ability to read the site, request a quote, or contact us. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the store.
9. Questions and requests
For questions about this policy, or to make a request about personal information we hold, email sales@honeybadgersolution.com or use our contact page. How we handle personal information more broadly is covered in our privacy policy. Terms that apply to orders and engagements are in our terms and conditions.
Questions about what we collect?
Ask directly. We would rather answer a specific question than have you guess from a policy page.
